Manchester United have been handed the opportunity to land Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram for only £17m this summer, according to L’Equipe.
The French outfit had a fantastic start to the campaign in Ligue 1, but they struggled to maintain the consistency over the whole season.
As a result, they finished fifth in the league standings and therefore failed to qualify for the Champions League for the 2024/25 campaign.
Nice are now aiming to balance their books with player sales and they are ready to accept a cut-price deal to part ways with Thuram.
The 23-year-old was valued at £30m in the past, but he could be available for as little as £17m plus add-ons in the next transfer window.
Thuram has also been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal. United will need to be pro-active to beat them in the race.
The Frenchman’s arrival could coincide with the departure of either Christian Eriksen or Casemiro, who had below-par seasons.
